About SIF Qatar

Advancement in Science and technology is vital for the development of any nation.Statistics have shown that in India we have a dearth of scientists. Hence, we as volunteers felt a strong need to take up this challenge of promoting Science and Technology among the students of Indian schools in Qatar. Thus, was born Science India Forum (SIF), an organisation by a group of professionals keen in popularisation of science in 2005.
Science India Forum commenced its activities in 2006 to instil scientific temperament and provide resources and the platform to shape young minds towards research and development in Science and technology for aspiring scientists and inventors.Science India Forum-Qatar,is affiliated to the Indian Cultural Centre on 05th July 2015 as an associated organization and functioning under the aegis of the Embassy of India as a non-profit body. SIFQ activities has been recognized by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. SIFQ launched the NCSC program in association with DST India since 2015.
The SIF functioning is governed by an advisory committee and a Managing Committee that are elected for every two years.

To create an excellent pool of younger generation who are much inclined to take up a career in scientific research..

To ignite interest, kindle inquisitive spirit, create a culture of excellence by educating the youngsters on the rich contributions made by great Indian Scientists and inspire young minds to develop a passion for science and technology.

Aims & Objectivs

Strive to strengthen the Indo-Qatar ties in education, science and technology by collaborating with Science & Research Institutions, Scientific Clubs in India and Qatar .
Coordinate with Educational Institutions in Qatar for various science promotional activities to attract young students to take up research in pure and applied sciences
Create a pool of scientific resources by networking with Indian Scientists, Researchers working in Qatar.
Encourage aspiring scientists by recognizing achievers in Science & Technology..
Enrich students and youth by offering rewarding experiences through interactions with renowned scientists from India and Abroad.
Help aspiring students to grow and develop their scientific temper and set the stage for future Indian Inventors.
Organize educational tours at premier R&D institutions in India.
